Clear crystal drawn into deep horizontal ripples that run around the body like water held mid-motion. Each ridge stands well proud of the one below, so the piece is as much about touch as about sight. It is genuinely pleasant to pick up. The rim follows the same wave, rising and falling rather than sitting level. Thick-walled and heavy, tall enough for long stems without any need for support. Its transparency makes it forgiving: it takes on the colour of whatever sits behind it, which means it works on a pale shelf and equally against dark panelling.
