A straight drum shade on three splayed legs, the simplest possible arrangement, and one that only works if the proportions are exact. Here they are: the shade is tall rather than wide, the legs meet it without a visible bracket, and the whole thing tapers to three points on the floor. The finish comes in walnut and ash tones against a black or white shade. The table version is the same drawing at a third of the height, which makes a convincing pair either side of a sofa.
