An open bowl cast as a tangle of branching metal, finished in warm gold, with gaps running right through the walls.
The structure grows the way coral does, thicker at the base and finer towards the rim, so the whole piece looks lighter than the metal it is made from. Light passes through it and throws a lace of shadow onto whatever sits beneath.
It takes fruit, but it is at least as good empty on a console or a stack of books. Set it where something can be seen through it, rather than flat against a wall.
