A shallow tray with a plaited leather bed held inside a fine metal rim.
The basketweave is pressed rather than printed, so the pattern has real depth to it, and the rim is finished in a dark line that frames the whole thing. Small tabs at either end read as handles without pretending to be load-bearing.
It does its best work as a landing place: keys and a watch by the door, perfume and rings on a dressing table, pens and a phone on a desk. Low enough to disappear under what it holds, which is exactly the point.
