A set of four handmade napkin rings, each one turned from natural stone as a thick band with a softly irregular outer edge.
The walls are chunky rather than delicate, and the surface keeps a faint waver in it, so they sit somewhere between geometric and hand-formed. Grey veining drifts across a pale ground, and because the stone is cut in sequence, no two rings carry quite the same marking.
They do their real work on a table that is laid but not formal: linen napkins, a few candles, nothing matching. Left in a small stack near the table, they also read perfectly well as objects between meals.
