A tall wooden bin cut as a faceted obelisk: wide at the shoulder, tapering to a narrow foot, with the grain running across angled planes so each face catches the light differently. Standing in a corner it reads as a piece of joinery rather than a waste bin, which is the entire reason to buy one. The top is a simple flip flap, weighted to fall closed. In walnut it is dark and formal; in ash, pale and quiet.
