A napkin holder reduced to two elements: a flat base and a single arc, weighted at the centre with a polished sphere.
The sphere rides down the curve under its own weight and holds the stack in place, so the fewer napkins remain, the lower it sits. There is no clip, no spring and nothing to adjust. The mechanism is gravity, and it is fully visible.
It belongs on a kitchen counter or a dining table that stays laid. Small enough to leave out permanently, and interesting enough that you will want to.
