A faceted block finished in a matte stone-effect glaze, left deliberately uneven on every face, with a brass-toned pump set into the top. The contrast is the whole idea: something rough and geological carrying something machined and gleaming. The glazes are drawn from mineral colours: a soft clouded pink, a dense green close to jade, bands of amber and brown, and a deep blue flecked with gold. Each is applied by hand, so no two come out quite alike. On a basin it looks less like a bathroom product and more like something brought back.
