A curved stone form with a sphere resting in its hollow, held at the point where it would begin to roll.
The body sweeps up from a flat foot into a raised arm, and the ball sits in the curve without being fixed there, so the whole piece is about a moment of stillness that looks temporary. The stone is pale and open-pored throughout, so both parts read as one material.
It suits a console, a shelf or a stack of books, with enough space around it to read as a silhouette. Turn it occasionally, because the profile changes more than you would expect.
