A square cushion cover in deep green chenille, worked all over with a fine gold trellis and a repeating fleur-de-lis.
The pattern is woven into the cloth rather than printed on it, so the gold catches light from one side and disappears from the other. A dense brush fringe runs down both edges, which is what lifts it out of ordinary and into something closer to upholstery. It measures 45cm square.
This is a cushion for a dark sofa or a wing chair, somewhere with enough weight around it. One is a note; three is a statement.
