A sphere of yellow travertine hung on a tan leather flex, in two arrangements: one with an opal glass globe suspended just below the stone, the two spheres reading as a small eclipse; the other with the stone alone and a recessed light in its base, throwing a tight beam straight down. Either way the travertine stays the object, pitted, sandy and warm, while the light is the smaller half of the composition. They hang well together at staggered heights.
