A natural stone tray cut in a soft, lobed outline, with no straight edges anywhere on it.
The silhouette wanders like a spill caught and set, and the shallow well inside follows the same line. The stone is cut thin for its size, and the colour runs from pale grey through to a warm rust depending on the block it came from.
Use it for a candle and a book of matches, for jewellery beside the bed, or for nothing at all on a stack of books. Two of them overlapping, in different tones, works better than a matched pair.
