A perfect twelve-centimetre cube of marble, lit inside, with the light escaping through the stone on every visible face. The severity of the form is the whole point. No bevel, no bracket, no visible fixing, so what you notice is not the shape but the material: veining running off one face and continuing on the next, because it was cut from one block. Beside a bed or up a staircase it reads as a small piece of masonry that happens to glow.
