A gunmetal rod curved over at the top like a shepherd's crook, carrying a small marble bell that throws its light downward, and looping back underneath into a marble ring that works as a tray. The stone is figured in cream and charcoal and stays lit softly from the inside of the shade. The geometry is doing something clever: light falls exactly onto the ring below, so a watch or a ring left there sits in its own small pool. Forty centimetres tall and barely twelve across the shade.
