Opal globes held in slim chrome rings, stacked one above another on a polished stem, each sphere sitting in its hoop like a ball in a cradle and each one able to turn where it sits. The globes are matte through, so they read as solid light rather than lit glass, and the chrome is thin enough almost to disappear against a pale wall. Because the spheres pivot, you can aim them: all up for a ceiling wash, all down for reading, or staggered.
