A single brushed aluminium column with a band of light let into the middle of it, and nothing else: no shade, no arm, no visible switch. The lit section glows through a frosted sleeve and throws upward and downward at once, which puts a soft halo on the wall behind and a pool at the foot. Touch anywhere on the column to bring it up or down. It reads as a piece of minimal sculpture that happens to be plugged in, and takes up a footprint the size of a saucer. Dimensions: H930mm(closed) to 1400mm(open) - D220mm
