White ceramic painted in the old decorative manner: botanicals, medallions, scrolling gold, raised on a scrolled foot with an antiqued finish. The pump is dark bronze in tone rather than chrome, which keeps the whole thing in period. It is unapologetically ornate, the kind of object that belongs on a marble washstand in a room with a heavy mirror. Nothing about it is Nordic, whatever the supplier's title says.
