Porcelain modelled into an open basket weave and given its own fitted lid. The lid is the part that matters, since it keeps tea hot through a long phone call and doubles as a rest for the strainer. The weave is raised rather than printed, so the surface has real relief under the fingers, and the glaze settles a shade deeper in the crossings. Two hundred and thirty millilitres, which is a proper cup rather than a token one.
