A finer, lighter linen than most thin enough that the grain of the table shows faintly through it in daylight, and light enough to lift in a draught. The weave is open and plainly finished, no border, no trim, nothing to compete with what is put on top of it. It creases readily and that is part of the look; laid over a heavier cloth it gives a second layer of texture without adding bulk. Long enough in the larger lengths to fall well past the table edge at both ends.
