Stone-washed linen with the weight to hang properly over the end of a table rather than curling up at the corners. The colour is dyed through and slightly uneven, the way washed flax always is, and the surface keeps a soft rumple that no amount of pressing will quite remove - which is the point of buying linen in the first place. Laid down the centre of a bare wooden table it does most of the work of a full cloth while leaving the timber visible either side. It goes in the machine, comes out softer, and looks better for it.
