The border radiates outward in fine pleats, hundreds of them, each catching the light at a slightly different angle. From across a room it reads as a soft halo; up close the surface breaks into a thousand small glints. The effect is deliberately theatrical, the sort of thing that turns a snapshot into an occasion. Cast in alloy and finished in either warm gold or bright silver, it has the weight you would expect of metal rather than the lightness of a moulded frame. It sits at a gentle backward lean on a hinged easel. Place one on a dressing table where morning light can find it, or set a pair on a mantel and let them do the talking.
