A small ceramic bud vase with a heavily textured body, glazed in earth and bronze tones that pool and break over the ridges.
The surface is worked all over, dimpled, knurled and banded, so the light never sits flat on it. The glaze runs darker in the hollows and catches metallic where it thins, which is the kiln's doing rather than the pattern's.
One stem is enough. Set it on a bookshelf, a bedside table or a windowsill, or gather several at different heights on a wooden surface where the texture has something to answer to.
