A single steel arc rising from a weighted disc and reaching out over a metre, ending in a shallow leaf-shaped shade turned face-down. The curve does the work of a ceiling fixture without touching the ceiling: park the base behind a sofa and the light arrives directly overhead. The shade is matte black on top and pale inside, so from a seated position you see a soft lit curve and never the source. One hundred and eighty-three centimetres of very little material, arranged well.
